The merchandise was shipped and received in good condition. Packaging is excellent with many layers of form fitting foam to protect it. It takes 3-AAA batteries, NOT-included which is not a deal breaker. The ON-OFF switch on the bottom gives you lighting options. If the switch on the bottom of the unit is turned to ON…you can click the button on the front of the unit to switch between High or Low lighting, but the light will always be on in either the High or Low lightning modes. If the switch on the bottom is turned to OFF, when you click the button on the front to turn the lighting on….it only lights up in the High Mode….then click it again to turn it off. On this mode it will only turn the lighting on in the high mode….and then when the front button is pushed again it will turn Off…..still not a deal breaker. I gave this to my mother….she is 84 years young……she really enjoyed it. The description, as advertised, states the roses will last a long time because they are preserved. I guess time will tell on that issue. I would purchase this item again……it is beautiful. I purchased the Yellow Roses…because I live in Texas…..and it represents the “Yellow Rose of Texas”……Happy Trails to you…if you decide to purchase this item.
